Unity is a cross-platform program, which is essentially used for creating computer games. Unity was created in 2015 as a computer game creation tool for Apple (OS X). Later it was transformed into a cross-platform system. In the past game developers created games concretely for only one operating system or platform. For example, the game created for Windows platform did not work for Apple. The games created with Unity can work on more than twenty platforms. Among them: Windows, Android, Mac OS, iOS, Xbox, WII, etc. Unity 3D gives us an opportunity to import different kinds of 2D and 3D images (Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, Blender, Modo, ZBrush, Cinema 4D, Cheetah 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fireworks). Accordingly, it is able to create both 2D and 3D games. The timeline which is integrated in Unity 3D makes the creation process much easier.

During the course students learn the basic principles of creating computer games. The students create cross-platform games based on the educational material provided by their lecturers. The course consists of several subjects and lasts four months. During the last month the students work on their own projects which are assigned by their lecturers.
